At Sanaruska, you can participate in courses and workshops or attend events all year round. Not all workshops and events are led or organized by Mandy and Menno, the residents and managers of Sanaruska. We welcome anyone who comes up with a great idea that aligns with Sanaruska’s core values.

WORKSHOPS
The ATELIER is located on the first floor of the left wing. This is Mandy’s workspace, operating under the name TinTin handmades. She primarily works on textile projects such as tufting wool (wall) rugs, printing fabrics with natural materials, and repurposing old clothing into objects. All materials and equipment are provided, and the studio can accommodate groups of up to 8 people.
On the ground floor of the left wing, you’ll find the STUDIO. Here, Menno—under the name Grapefruit Moon—focuses primarily on photography, film, projection, and gathering stories. Beyond this function, the studio is extremely versatile. It can be used for all kinds of workshops, classes, meditation, yoga, visual arts, and more. The studio also regularly hosts exhibitions by contemporary artists.
The KITCHEN is located on the ground floor in the right wing. It’s a place to cook and eat, but it also has a cozy seating area around the wood-burning stove. The kitchen is primarily intended for use by all guests, but it can also be used for cooking, baking, or fermentation workshops, to name just a few examples. It’s a great place to spend time together while enjoying the view of the forest through the 12-meter-wide windows…
Check out the calendar for upcoming workshops or contact us with any questions you may have. Feel free to reach out even if you have an idea for a workshop or are looking for a cool venue.
EVENTS
Sanaruska is ideal for hosting (small-scale) events. The STUDIO can accommodate a wide variety of events, from exhibitions to concerts. But there are also plenty of possibilities on the outdoor grounds and in the woods. In the summer, we host open-air movie screenings in our forest theater, and in the coming years, we plan to organize an annual (international) film festival.
Several living room concerts are scheduled for the summer of 2026. In the spring and fall, you’re welcome to come help out around the house or in the woods in a very friendly atmosphere.
